Many, many communities have a summertime celebration to share with their citizens and visitors all the things that make them special. Plan to be a part of your community's celebration: have a booth, watch the parade or be in the parade, help with clean-up or some other way. Take a picnic lunch and check out the celebration in another community. Watch the paper and see how many communities in your county have special days and what kinds of things they celebrate. Keep a list.
