Welcome to Camp Cleawox:

Camp Cleawox is located two miles south of Florence in the Oregon Dune National Recreation Area. The 47-acre site is situated on a freshwater lake. During the summer, Camp Cleawox becomes a summer resident camp for over 600 girls from our council and throughout the rest of the year is used by Girl Scout troops and community groups.

Cleawox Lodge
The fully winterized building was completed during 1996. It is equipped with a large dining area that seats a capacity of 150, commercial kitchen, bathrooms, meeting rooms and fireplace. Sleeping space for 20-40 people is available on the floor. The building is wheelchair accessible.

Staff House
This small, winterized building has a kitchen area with sink, stove and refrigerator, bathroom with shower and flush toilet, wood stove, wall heater, table, benches, and old furniture. It sleeps 6-8 people on the floor. The building is wheelchair accessible by trail and is a short walk from the parking lot.

Adirondack and Yurt Units
There are four camp units with open-air adirondack shelters (three-sided cabins) or yurts. Each unit has sleeping accommodations for 24 people. Each unit has pit toilets, cold running water and picnic tables. Some pit toilets are wheelchair accessible. The units are a short hike by foot trail from the parking lot.

Adirondack Yurt

Shower House
The shower house is located across the field from the lodge. There are ten shower stalls and is wheelchair accessible.

Viking Hill Program Shelter and Tent Platforms
The 12’ by 12’ shelter with a roof and partial sides can be used for program activities or as a cookout/campout site. There are tent platforms available for sleeping. Viking Hill has a pit toilet, cold running water and a fire ring. The shelter is a ¼ mile walk from the parking lot.
