Big Tree Girl Scout Campout
For all Central Oregon Girl Scout Troops
June 6- 8
Dory Delp has reserved 35 camp spots
at LaPine State Park N Loop for this Annual Girl Scout Camping Trip.
Of the 35 sites that were reserved, six are still
available for $17 per Site + $5 extra car. Call Dory Delp, 382-8054, to
reserve a site. All Checks made out to Bend Service Unit 650. This campout
is
tent camping only. There are tents in the GS office that can be checked out.
We cannot reserve for families that want to attend. OR State Parks says 8
people/site.
Check in time is Friday, June 6th at 4 p.m.
Check out time is Sunday, June 8th at 1 p.m.
All camp campfire program Saturday 7:30 p.m.
Bridging Ceremony Sunday 11 a.m.
There will be a Junior and Brownie Wide Activity on Saturday. More
Information later. Patch patterns will be available at March Service Unit
Meetings/ and in your mailboxes, for girls to design a Big Tree Patch. All
entries needed to be at the April 1 Bend SU meeting for a winner to be
chosen.

Older Girl's Night Out at Big Tree
Friday night, June 6, 2008 6-9pm
WHO: All Girl Scouts grades 6th-12th (you do not have to be
camping at Big Tree to attend this event!)
WHAT: Come and have a fun night eating dinner, going on a scavenger hunt,
making swaps, and more….
COST: $15 per girl includes dinner for girls and their leader or adult
volunteers (campfire hot dogs, baked beans, veggies, drinks, a special camp
dessert, etc…), craft materials, supplies….PSC’s accepted / Financial
assistance available.

Individual Event Registration form with payment by deadline of May 30,
2008.
Girls who are camping at Big Tree must help their troops with setting up
their campsites first!
Remember to wear your mosquito repellant, warm clothing (layers) and
comfortable closed toe shoes.

Cost: 6 weeks for $60 or $15 per day (if space open). Make
checks out to SU#650 (discount for parent help -registered adult volunteers
needed for 3 hour shifts). PSC’s accepted, limited financial aid

Prineville State Park
Catch a Special Thrill
for Kids
July 13, 2008, 9am- 2pm
What: A public service project promoting environmental education and
cold water fishing.
Who: Children with physical disabilities, or terminal illnesses
Number of participants: 30-35
Age Group: 7-16 (anyone fishing with a participant needs to provide their
own fishing license).
A barbeque lunch will be ready for hungry anglers following the fishing
activities. As part of the event, participants will receive a CAST
t-shirt and hat, fishing rod and reel, a picture and plaque, and lots of

Bend
Mother & Daughter/She & Me Tea: “Tea and Treasures”
Saturday, July 26, 2:00p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Spend an afternoon of partnership your mom, grandmother, or another special
adult as you work on craft projects together. End the afternoon with a
wonderful tea and cookie exchange. Everyone receives a cup and flowers or
seeds. Girls Scouts also receive an activity patch.
Cost: $10.00 per pair. Make check payable to “Girl Scouts SU 655”.
Scholarship money is available. Registration may be done by mail or
