Older Girl's Night Out at Big Tree
Friday night, June 6, 2008 6-9pm

WHO: All Girl Scouts grades 6th-12th (you do not have to be
camping at Big Tree to attend this event!)
WHAT: Come and have a fun night eating dinner, going on a scavenger hunt, making swaps, and more….
COST: $15 per girl includes dinner for girls and their leader or adult volunteers (campfire hot dogs, baked beans, veggies, drinks, a special camp dessert, etc…), craft materials, supplies….PSC’s accepted / Financial assistance available.
DETAILS: To register, turn in Individual Event Registration form with payment by deadline of May 30, 2008.
Girls who are camping at Big Tree must help their troops with setting up their campsites first!
Remember to wear your mosquito repellant, warm clothing (layers) and comfortable closed toe shoes.

For Junior Girl Scouts
Cost: $18.00
Come join us do a fun Mexican weekend!  We will be learning all about Mexico and the world center there.  We will do crafts, Piñata, and have a fun Mexican fiesta!  We will be serving dinner on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday.  Make sure you eat lunch before you come.  All participants will be getting the Hola Mexico Patch.  Girls can sign up as individuals or as a troop.  A minimum of 25 participants required or event will be cancelled.  Registration forms available in Eugene Service Center and are due by May 23rd.  Contact: Niki Norris at 485-6032.

Big Tree Girl Scout Campout
For all Central Oregon Girl Scout Troops
June 6- 8
Dory Delp has reserved 35 camp spots at LaPine State Park N Loop for this Annual Girl Scout Camping Trip.  Of the 35 sites that were reserved, six are still available for $17 per Site + $5 extra car. Call Dory Delp, 382-8054, to reserve a site. All Checks made out to Bend Service Unit 650. This campout is
tent camping only. There are tents in the GS office that can be checked out. We cannot reserve for families that want to attend. OR State Parks says 8 people/site. 
Check in time is Friday, June 6th at 4 p.m.
Check out time is Sunday, June 8th at 1 p.m.
All camp campfire program Saturday 7:30 p.m.
Bridging Ceremony Sunday 11 a.m.

There will be a Junior and Brownie Wide Activity on Saturday. More Information later. Patch patterns will be available at March Service Unit Meetings/ and in your mailboxes, for girls to design a Big Tree Patch. All entries needed to be at the April 1 Bend SU meeting for a winner to be chosen.

Outdoor Adventure!  Discover the great outdoors in forests, mountain meadows, wetlands, wildlife, lakes and streams.  Interact first hand with natural resource professionals to gain career insights.

Learn about the Environment – Experience the great outdoors by camping, visiting Crater Lake, canoeing, field sessions, stargazing, BBQ at a ranch, hike pacific Crest Trail, swim, hands-on activities.

Have fun – Meet new friends – Check out possible careers!!  Apply for summer jobs

Where: Camp Esther Applegate, Lake of the Woods, between Medford/K-Falls
For girls 13-18 years of age (must have completed 8th grade)
Only $150 (Includes food and lodging - Scholarships available)

Cost: $35 includes t-shirt
Snacks and luch will be provided.  Please bring a water bottle.  Tennis shoes are required.  We will be walking a lot.  Be prepared for the weather (sun screen/rain coat).

A Sweet Story
Earn the Now and Then, Stories from Around the World Junior Badge while making sweet chocolate goodies.
Who: Junior Girl Scouts, grades 4-6th  Limited to 20 girls
When: Saturday June 21, 2008 9:00 am to 5:00pm

How Much $25, includes supplies, badge, and treats to take home.
Treats will include chocolate truffles and strawberries.

Enjoy and learn about summer camp as a female adult girl team.  Have a chance to boat, swim, to crafts, and nature.  All food and program provided by our summer staff.
