The Destinations Operating Team (D.O.T.) provides training and support to all girls traveling individually in our council. All our mini-destinations have a 2-hour orientation in advance of traveling. The date for your trip orientation will be distributed after registration is closed. The following trainings are primarily for girls traveling long-distances and out of the country on council-patrols, National destinations, and International destinations.
The purpose of DW1 is to provide the applicant a better understanding of participation in a GSUSA National or International Studio 2B destination. Training and information will be given in the areas of fundraising, travel, organizing, and preparing applications. This is a required information and training session for all girl applicants for 2008 National and International Studio 2B destinations. Parents please note! There is a Destinations Parent Orientation on Saturday, at the end of DW1, from 4:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. This will help you to understand the process, commitment and teamwork needed by all the players (family, girl, and council) to prepare for a destination. It is extremely important for each participant to have a parent attend this meeting. Equipment needed: notebook, and pen. You should have turned in your application for your destination to Jan Thompson by Oct. 28th. If you have not, please bring it with you. Jan Thompson
